Round 3 (Regular Season): LG Sakers are defeated by Kings

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of South Korean Sakers (0-1) in Changwon on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by Taiwanese Kings (1-2) 90-78. Kings looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Palestinian power forward Sani Sakakini (204-1988) who led his team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. American forward Jayden Gardner (201-2000, college: Virginia, agency: MSG) helped adding 28 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sakers will play on the road against Xac Broncos (#1) in Ulaanbaatar and hope to get finally their first victory.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Ulaanbaatar. Mongolian host Broncos (2-0) defeated Taiwanese Kings (1-2) 90-76. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Ian Miller (191-1991, college: FSU, agency: Diamond Sports) who led the winners and scored 40 points (!!!) (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Omoefay Johnson accounted for 19 points and 21 rebounds. Palestinian power forward Sani Sakakini (204-1988) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds for Kings in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Broncos will play against LG Sakers (#4) in Changwon in the next round. Kings will have a break next round.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Taoyuan. Taiwanese host Pilots (2-0) defeated Filipino Bolts (0-2) 82-72. The best player for the winners was Will Artino who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Ismael Romero who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Pilots will meet Meralco Bolts (#4) in the next round. Bolts will have a break next round.

Xac Broncos had a 35-24 advantage in offensive rebounds.
